About Your Plan
Oklahoma Christian University offers comprehensive medical coverage through Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS), supported by AHR Gap Insurance to help manage out-of-pocket costs. Your health plan is designed to make medical care affordable and easy to use by combining a major medical policy with supplemental gap coverage.
How It Works
Your BCBS plan includes a deductible ($5,000 for employee-only coverage and $10,000 for all others) before benefits begin. To help reduce your costs, AHR provides Gap Insurance, which covers eligible expenses applied to your deductible such as doctor visits, prescriptions, lab tests, hospital stays, and surgeries. After your deductible is met, BCBS covers 100% of eligible in-network expenses.
Plan Options
Bronze GAP Plan: $2,000 single / $4,000 family GAP deductible.
Medical copays: $45 office visit / $90 urgent care
Prescription copays: $30 generic / $60 preferred brand / $90 non-preferred brand
Basic HSA GAP Plan: $2,500 single / $5,000 family GAP deductible
After meeting the GAP deductible, claims are processed at 80% coverage
How to Use Your Plan
Present your BCBS ID card at your medical provider or pharmacy.
AHR automatically processes and pays claims based on your selected GAP plan level once BCBS transmits the claim.
You’ll receive an email notification the same day payment is made to your provider.
For prescriptions, use your AHR Card to pay your copay; the balance will be paid from your GAP account.

Primary Health Partners: Direct Primary Care
Oklahoma Christian University partners with Primary Health Partners (PHP) to offer full-time employees affordable, patient-centered primary care with $0 copays, 24/7 provider access, and no surprise bills.
Members can receive care in-person, by phone, video, or text for services including wellness exams, illness care, chronic condition management, and in-office procedures. PHP also provides on-site labs and a wholesale pharmacy with major savings on medications. Membership costs $84/month for adults and $49/month for children (0–17), with OC contributing $40 toward each employee’s monthly fee.

Make sure your provider is calling 90DB to confirm your coverage. CIGNA is our network but not our administrator. You will not be found in the CIGNA system. 90DB will be who your provider needs to call.

80% of medical bills have some sort of error on them. If you get a bill in the mail and it doesn’t look right, before you pay, send it to Katelynn and she will confirm the bill is correct and will confirm if you do or do not owe anything.

Plans A & B utilize the CIGNA Primary PPO Network and Plan C utilizes the HealthSmart Physician Only PPO Network, both administered by 90 Degree Benefits.
